Is there a huge quality difference between an Omega Watch vs. a Rolex watch?

I have been trying to decide between an Omega Planet Ocean or a Rolex submariner. The Omega is more affordable but I don't want to be unhappy down the road and wishing that I bought the Rolex. Any suggestions?
