How do you tell a real rolex from a replica?

I just saw a replica rolex on line that looks alot like the one I want to buy from a friend. It only showed the front of the watch though. Is there a way to tell the difference without having to go to a jeweler?|||http://penangtalk.com/rolex/

try reading this|||Make sure it doesn't say Rolox or Rolexx lol

There isn't a real way of knowing without seeing in person, even then its difficult, unless you know a lot about watches.|||Hi =]

If you want print this answer out and put a tick or cross to ur rolex ok?

Signs of it being real:

-Bought at a real jewelers (not abroad)

-Bought at a actual rolex shop

-Very heavy and long lasting

-The crystals seem to look very expensive and durable

Signs of being fake:

-Bought on the the street or at somewhere that looks dodgy e.g market stall.

-Bought from a car boot sale or somewhere secound hand.

-The strap looks a little faded and strechy, cheap aswell.

-The crystals seem to look small and not very durable.

HOPE THIS HELPS =]
